<pre>Could another workaround be disabling the manufacturer's GUI splash screen? I
have B250 Kaby Lake Asus and Biostar UEFI motherboards, each with Tumbleweed
and Buster, and have yet to experience this complaint. The only times I see a
BIOS splash on my own hardware is when brand new out of the box, or when I
forgot to turn it back off after a BIOS reset. I don't have Plymouth installed
either.</pre>
