I can confirm both my custom, early 4.20 build, and the latest fedora 4.20
build 4.20.3-200.fc29.x86_64 resolve my problems, with the same result as Chris
Hobbs:
I still see
[ 75.398398] [drm:intel_dp_start_link_train [i915]] *ERROR* failed to enable
link training
[ 75.666835] [drm:intel_mst_pre_enable_dp [i915]] *ERROR* failed to allocate
vcpi
But the system does not hang anymore. I'm happy with that.
I have been unable to get a backtrace such as Stanislav commented in #46
because my issue does not generate any backtraces in the logs and I have yet to
try to debug it manually. My issue is likely different from any issue resolved
by https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/261135/ given the results are the
same after confirming the patch in the kernel.
