I've just installed 5.3 on a CHT device with LPSS PWM driving the backlight and
I'm seeing the same thing. This seems to be a 5.3 regression which is a
separate issue from the original issue of this bug.
I'll investigate the 5.3 regression further and write a patch fixing it.</pre>
