Mark is using distro kernels in Mesa CI, not drm-tip, i.e. he can't reproduce
this because Mesa CI kernel version is too old, it's from before the
regression. Mesa CI would hit it if they update to new enough kernel.
(This was first thought to be Mesa issue, not kernel one.)</pre>
