I'm running the latest tip of Linus' tree, which incorporates the DRM/i915
changes of Thursday September 19th.
Since then, I've had my box (HP Spectre X360) lock up hard several times,
usually when a secondary monitor is connected. I have OOPSes logged to pstore,
but they never leave any OOPs, plus SysRq is unresponsive, so I have to
hard-power-cycle the machine.
I've tried not enabling GuC/HuC, no difference.
However, the last time it happened, I was able to get it to SysRq "S" and was
able to save some of the OOPS into /var/log/syslog. Unfortunately I don't have
a /sys/class/drm/card0/error file (if there's a way to trigger creation, I can
add it as an additional comment).
I have attached the output of "egrep -r . /sys/kernel/debug/dri".
