Even though it's reported as disconnected, edp still working?

Are there 2 issues in this bug? edp is not working and external display works
with only resolution 1024x768?
Can you attach display info cat /sys/kernel/debug/dri/0/i915_display_info ?
Can you verify the issue with drmtip (<a href="https://cgit.freedesktop.org/drm-tip">https://cgit.freedesktop.org/drm-tip</a>)
with kernel parameters drm.debug=0x1e log_buf_len=4M.</pre>
