Hi Carl,

Thanks a lot for the detailed explanation what is currently happening.
I have to admit I am really excitied about GEM and the advantages it
brings even for 2D rendering.
Hopefully when its solid and transition to it is finished it will be a
great foundadtion for even better RENDER acceleration ;)
