[Intel-gfx] SDVO-VGA problem: first SDVO output reported failure to sync

Hello, All!
I'm having an issue with SDVO-VGA. (I know this is not a commonly
tested scenario.) I have a VGA monitor connected to the on-board VGA
and via SDVOB (I believe) using a Chrontel 7021A.
The OS is Ubuntu 8.04.1 with kernel. 2.6.24 and X.org 1.4.0.90,
Intel_drv v2.3.2 (compiled self, but fails also with 2.2.1 from native
distribution).
