[Intel-gfx] xorg-server-1.6.3 crashes with intel-2.8.0 module, without returning console

This happens on a Dell Vostro 1520 laptop, with GM45 chipset. Kernel
is linux (gentoo patches) 2.6.30-r4. Attached are the Xorg exit
status, Xorg.log, and lspci -vv (only the relevent sections).
