Yes, it only works with UXA.  We have at least one rendering bug open against 
UXA+KMS (19699), but that's probably not the only problem.

I'm still working on the screen size issue; it causes funky mouse placement at 
startup too.  And I think xrandr may not be fully working in the KMS case.
