[Intel-gfx] How to disable GEM

Hi folks,

my X just froze and I had to reboot. Before the reboot, I found this in
dmesg:

[drm:i915_gem_idle] *ERROR* hardware wedged
[drm:i915_gem_entervt_ioctl] *ERROR* Reenabling wedged hardware, good luck

As this is _very_ annoying, I want to disable GEM and use GTT, if this
is possible. Any hints how to do that? Currently, I use kernel 2.6.28.6
and intel 2.5.1.
