Hello,
I've read: http://xbitlabs.com/news/cpu/display/20091107133157_Intel_Plans_Fast_Transition_to_Next_Generation_Atom_Platform.html
where it is stated that: "Intel Pine Trail platform includes
next-generation Atom “Pineview” processor with improved performance,
integrated graphics core, built-in DDR2 memory controller, x86-64
capability, a new core-logic set as well as a Broadcom video decoding
processor"
Since 3rd party IP is mentioned, here I'm afraid that we'll have a
repeat of the GMA500 scenario, but with video accel block being
unsupported by the free driver.
Anybody care to comment? Maybe this broadcom video decoder is bogus
misinformation?
