[Intel-gfx] i855GM, KMS and framebuffer console

Hello,

since when KMS support was added to kernel I am not able to boot with KMS active and see a working framebuffer console (to tell the truth, I see no console at all, screen is off).

Kernel:

Working kernel command line:
lapic=yes hpet=force clocksource=hpet i8042.nomux=1 vga=791 nomodeset nofb

If I remove "nomodeset nofb" I get the above mentioned problem (black screen).

What should I add to my initramfs? I am using Arch Linux and I am also affected by bug http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=24789 with newer intel driver/Xorg server.

I have successfully built a development Xorg environment (with latest intel driver) following http://wiki.x.org/wiki/Development/git but I cannot proceed at making any test because I first need to boot with KMS active in order to use the latest intel driver.
