my 915GM produces the same 'effect' when playing fullscreen flash
videos or games (eg. tuxracer). I didn't have the time to search for
bugs or try with newer driver/mesa versions though... I'm running
archlinux mesa-7.7.1, libdrm-2.4.19, intel-2.10 and kernel 2.6.34-rc3.
