We recommend the latest release, as usual.

We don't see playing video with xvmc gets advantage compared with xv on 915, so we decided not to take additional effort to implement it for KMS.

Do you really see benifit of xvmc? If you insist to use xvmc, you can try 2009Q3 release with KMS disabled.
