Yes, indeed, cda9d05c499093c67b4a376a15009923acc2127a is what needs to 
be backported. I.e., one has to erase the following functions and all 
calls to them from drivers/gpu/drm/i915/intel_display.c:

intel_increase_renderclock()
intel_decrease_renderclock()
intel_decrease_displayclock()
