There are 3 relevant bugs here:
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=28518 - dual head flipping breaks on 915
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=28788 - flipping on 945 broken
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=28852 - flipping on 965 broken

However, after working around an unrelated interrupt issue on my 945
(had to boot with clocksource=tsc to avoid some platform interrupt
breakage), page flipping has been very stable for me.  I ran an OA demo
in a loop overnight last night and have been abusing the system with
bad flips and such today and haven't seen any hangs.

Clemens, can you test Stephan's patch to see if it makes your hangs go
away?

Stephan, what bits are you using?  Can you check the above bugs for
anything relevant?
