[Intel-gfx] problem setting up extended desktop

Maybe this issue was not related to this list.
Anyway, the problem was due to a bug in Xorg.
And has very recently been fixed in the in the GIT repository (I
installed it via https://launchpad.net/~xorg-edgers/+archive/ppa)
