hello, im using Ubuntu 10.4 on a computer with an Integrated Intel GMA X4500
HD, i wanted to know if your drivers support my GPU?
and secondly, is your driver install process similar to Nvidia's, or much
different i dont really see any directions, just several links on the
download page.
with nvidia i use to just download the driver install package, then kill the
Gnome display with ctrl+alt+f1 then run the following codes
sudo /etc/init.d/gdm stop
sudo sh ./Name of Nvidia driver
and then let the installer do its thing, and when it finished simply start
gmd again
sudo /etc/init.d/gmd start
would this process work with your drivers as well?
if not, what is the exact process, or where on your site can i find it.
and if its noticably more difficult than as i described above for Nvidia's
isntall process, why hasnt Intel or who ever funds your work put forth the
work to make it easier?
thanks in advance to any help/info you can provide.
