Could not read backlight values from sysfs. Probably is not supported on
your hardware.

Quite likely you do not have Embedded Display Port on a desktop machine.

SKIPs are expected when there is no support for particular feature in
the hardware or other conditions are not met.

If you do not find and error self-explanatory then bring it to the
mailing list (or read the code).
