No, please don't add inlines in .c files. I just removed the inlines
from these functions in 81b55ef1f47b ("drm/i915: drop a bunch of
superfluous inlines"). Please just let the compiler handle this.

Since you're changing everything in the function, why not rename the
parameter i915 while at it.
