[Intel-gfx] [PATCH v6 2/7] drm: convert drm_device.master_mutex into a rwsem
Desmond Cheong Zhi Xi
desmondcheongzx at gmail.com
Wed Aug 25 10:24:06 UTC 2021
drm_device.master_mutex currently protects the following:
- drm_device.master
- drm_file.master
- drm_file.was_master
- drm_file.is_master
- drm_master.unique
- drm_master.unique_len
- drm_master.magic_map
There is a clear separation between functions that read or change
these attributes. Hence, convert master_mutex into a rwsem to enable
concurrent readers.
