Hmm. One clean way to make it atomic would be to always do the BIOS
fb takeover, but just not hand over the result to the fb_helper when
we don't want it to start using it directly. Thus we'd just do a
normal atomic commit at some point page flipping from the BIOS fb
to the fresh fbcon/user framebuffer, and color management would also
change states more or less atomically. This would mean hanging on to
that piece of stolen memory a bit longer, meaning something else might
not be able to allocate there during driver init. Not sure if that
could be a problem or not.
