I believe the safest thing here is to use conn_state->crtc and
conn_state->best_encoder in the condition.
This falls in the same type of argument used for our earlier discussion
on the explicit NULL check for the pmdemand_state. In my humble opinion,
we should only use the result of container_of() for valid pointers.
That said, I see that checking for NULL *after* conversions is done in
other parts of the driver, so I think other developers might not agree
with me here. So, your call on this :-)
