      Which distro and kernel are you using?  Modeset driver built into
      Xorg doesn't work for you?

    CentOS 7.2 which has kernel 3.10, but of course I'm compiling and
    trying to boot your kernel 4.2.  It dumps core in the i915 driver.<br>
