Hi Anteja,

It's hard to tell what's wrong just from the screenshot, but my first
guess would be a panel (monitor) timing misconfiguration. EMGD isn't
really intended for traditional PC-style operation, but rather for use
in "embedded" devices (i.e., specialized appliance-like devices like
store kiosks, automobiles, casino gaming machines, etc.). Embedded
devices generally have a permanently fixed hardware and software
configuration so EMGD defaults to pulling all kinds of configuration
information (including monitor timing data and such) from a special
configuration file rather than autoprobing; if that config file has the
wrong information, you can easily wind up with corrupt or
non-functioning displays.

You mentioned that you're new to Linux...are you building an embedded
device which you need EMGD's specific embedded functionality for? If
so, I'll try to find you an appropriate support channel for you to get
help (I haven't worked with EMGD for a few years, so I probably can't
help with any specifics at this point). If you're not building an
embedded device, then you'd probably be better off using the standard
opensource drivers that come as part of your Linux distribution (and
using as new of a distribution as possible to ensure that the drivers
that come with it are the latest, most up-to-date versions).
