I try gvt-d on i3-6100U SkyLake host to passthrough IGD to kvm guest.
According to https://github.com/intel/gvt-linux/wiki/GVTd_Setup_Guide,
I install Ubuntu 18.04, kernel version is 4.15.0-36-generic.
And qemu version is :
root at localhost:/home/# /usr/bin/qemu-system-x86_64 --version
QEMU emulator version 2.11.1(Debian 1:2.11+dfsg-1ubuntu7.6)
Copyright (c) 2003-2017 Fabrice Bellard and the QEMU Project developers
Under runlevel 3, ssh to the host, after echo 8086 1916 >
/sys/bus/pci/drivers/vfio-pci/new_id, I create qemu guest by:
/usr/bin/qemu-system-x86_64 -enable-kvm -m 2048 -smp 2 -cpu host -hda
./win10.qcow2 -vga cirrus -device
vfio-pci,host=00:02.0,id=hostdev0,bus=pci.0,addr=0x6 -daemonize
But it shows:
Could not initialize SDL(No available video device) - exiting
What do I need to make gvt-d work?
