Using --drm --no-hwaccel should work just fine (which is the default).
By passing --hwaccel you just enable GPU-accelerated rendering. This
doesn't fix any jittering (which is quite normal during VT switches
due to the crappy VT-design). I therefore recommend to stay with the
default (instead of --hwaccel).

This is the last _good_ commit, right? The first bad would be this:

Or what exactly did you bisect?

Could you run with --no-hwaccel --debug and show me the debug log?
