Hi Theyagarajan,
  I guess you have downloaded gedit source from CVS.

cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs at cvs.freedesktop.org:/cvs/ldtp co pyautosuite/gedit

FYI, Its not updated based on the new LDTP architecture. I request you to
use from http://people.freedesktop.org/~nagappan/gedit-example.tar.bz2
