Verified in newly CVS.

Both of returned value are 0 whatever selected item.
 ldtp.verifyselect('dlgOpenFiles*', 'cboAllFiles', 'All Text Files')
 ldtp.verifyselect('dlgOpenFiles*', 'cboAllFiles', 'All Files')
