Thank you. I'm stuck now with a problem where I can't seem to load the evdev driver. The system always loads synatpics.

Is there a fdi file change required to set up the hal correctly?

Hi Mike,

my setup looks like this:

Section "InputDevice"
        Identifier "touchscreen"
        Driver "evdev"
        Option "Device" "/dev/input/event1"
        Option "DeviceName" "touchscreen"
        Option "ReportingMode" "Raw"
        Option "SendCoreEvents" "On"
        Option "Calibrate" "1"
        Option "InvertY" "true"

You will find your touchscreen input device via:
cat /proc/bus/input/devices

The evdev manual includes all options for the device:
man evdev

The touchscreen is very unuseable with a normal windowmanager but I'm
currently trying matchbox. Btw, I'm also searching for a good way to
calibrate the touchscreen. Florian already gave me a list of tools which are
listed here http://tias.ulyssis.org/calibration/

Cheers Alex
