Sorry about falling off the face of the earth for a couple of weeks
there -- holidays, y'know. The good part, though, about stepping away
from the keyboard for a while is that it lets you think with your brain
instead of your fingers...
Your last post had a question at the end -- priority of defio vs.
damage -- and that question has gnawed at the corners of my mind for a
while; not just in terms of priority, but the larger question of why I'm
using defio at all. Try as I might, I can't seem to justify continuing
down the defio trail; it has its attractions, certainly, but seems to
inexorably lead to unnecessary complexity, conflicting design goals, and
least-common-denominator implementation.
So, in answer to the original question, I think that -- much like a
politician surprised in a hotel by the paparazzi -- damage control
should be the order of the day.
