[Libdlo] (no subject)

Hello everyone,

I just visited the DisplayLink forum @ 
http://displaylink.org/forum/showthread.php?p=9397, and saw the disappointing 
status there - no support for linux for the recent chips.

Does anybody know something else? Are there alternatives beside the official 
driver? If not, it would be very good to openly post this status on the 
displaylink site @ http://libdlo.freedesktop.org/wiki/FrontPage.

If somebody is working on this driver - i would gladly help debug/test it. I'm 
still a bit confused with the different versions of the chip available. Mine 
is reported by lsusb as:
