I've also added unit tests for the subscribe list merging stuff, and
actually found two nasty bugs which I also fixed. Other than that, it
seems good enough for now (the proxy is usable), so I may just merge
it and release it in the next version. Could you please make some
rough testing on the branch like I guess you did for your patches?
