Well some errors in the backporting, optimized a bug-workaround in the software based fastpath and commented out everything about VLAN gave a decent improvement in speed. Especially the latter hack.

I think if one disables VLAN in the kernel we should have some ifdefs around config_vlan_8021q in cdc_mbim.c to let it compile and work anyway. :-)
