That's weird.  I don't think I've ever seen an error response to OPEN
before.  No idea why....  The description of status 2 is "The operation
failed (a generic failure)." and that does not help much ;-)

Maybe it didn't like the 4k message size?  Is that consistent with the
MBIM descriptor?  Could you provide the full "lsusb -vd 2c7c:0620"
listing?
