You also have the crazy Australians and their Canadian coder:

They use a few lua scripts, so it's nothing like libqmi + ModemManager.
But it does the job and has a steadily increasing number of users. And
they even have it working on routers with only 4M flash, which I find
impressive.  Somewhat meaningless, but still impressive :-)
