Thanks! You nailed it. This patch solved the problem:

root at turris:~# udhcpc -i wwan0
udhcpc: started, v1.25.1
udhcpc: sending discover
udhcpc: sending select for 100.65.222.140
udhcpc: lease of 100.65.222.140 obtained, lease time 7200
udhcpc: ifconfig wwan0 100.65.222.140 netmask 255.255.255.248 broadcast +
udhcpc: setting default routers: 100.65.222.141
