libqmi-devel Digest, Vol 100, Issue 13

Hi Rune,

I routinely see this command fail after any Sierra Wireless modem has just
rebooted, looping/sleeping and trying again gets around this for us.
Usually I see an error that the command has timed out which I put down to
the modem not being ready yet.
Also see it with --get-expected-data-format, -wda-set-data-format=raw-ip,
--set-expected-data-format=raw-ip.

However, I note you get an internal QMI protocol error which may not be
able to get worked around like this.
If I ever see this error, every command after also fails and I must restart
a modem, but it is very rare.
If there are other modems being used simultaneously I'd pass -p to use the
proxy.
For this modem in particular I also see issues on USB2, but not USB3 during
initialisation,
however it went EOL so don't know why this was the case.

Regards,
