Unfortunately, that's where the log stops. No more QMI indications are 
received and the ModemManager state never changes to "registered" from 
"enabled". Do you have any tips how I can troubleshoot this state 
machine further?

I'll have a look at the Quectel plugin and see whether that prevents the 
state machine from advancing.
