What DHCP client are you using?

If the network port is configured in raw-ip mode, i.e. without
Ethernet headers, not all DHCP clients are expected to work. E.g. I
think dhclient itself won't work with the net port in raw-ip mode.

Also, the DHCP step is not really necessary, as you see you can
already get the IP settings with the WDS Get Current Settings command,
you can apply those settings manually to the netdev to have the
connection up.
