Hey,
>>
>> Back in 2020 I was able to get my Sierra Wireless EM7455 running, thanks to your help. I didn't need it for ages then, and tried just today to revive it. However, I am running into a bit of problems. Here is what I've done (I am sending the transcripts of the commands along):
>>
>> [a02] # qmicli -d /dev/cdc-wdm0 --dms-set-fcc-authentication
>> [a03] # mbimcli -p -d /dev/cdc-wdm0 --set-radio-state on
>> [a04] # mbim-network /dev/cdc-wdm0 start
>>
>> The prefix of each line (e.g. "[a02]") corresponds to the log file starting with it (here, "a02 ... .txt").

> To be clear: The last command (of `mbim-network`) fails, giving rise to my enquiry here. The complete output of the command, including the error message, can be seen from the log ("a04 [...] .txt"). I am attaching all the logs also to this message.

Could you modify your profile in /etc/mbim-network.conf so that the
auth field has the value "pap" instead of "PAP"?
