Dan is not unknown to the projects, quite the opposite! Dan was the <br>
single NetworkManager and ModemManager maintainer when I I joined the <br>
project more than a decade ago, before the separate project libraries <br>
existed. He wrote the original MM 1.0 DBus API and I happened to be one <br>
of the reviewers in the mailing list...<br>
<br>
Dan currently works as a freelancer through Ion Control <br>
(<a href="http://ioncontrol.co" rel="noreferrer noreferrer" target="_blank">http://ioncontrol.co</a>). This enables him to offer custom integration and <br>
troubleshooting services for these projects. This type of engagements <br>
allowed me to keep on maintaining the projects when I was a freelancer, <br>
so I totally suggest every company interested to try it.<br>
<br>
In recent months, I haven't been able to dedicate as much time as needed <br>
to maintainership tasks. I care a lot about these projects, and I think <br>
that a step back from me could mean many steps forward for them. I <br>
believe Dan's leadership and new energy will propel these projects forward.<br>
