[LGM-org] Hosts for 2018 and 2019

Hi, all.

I just got off of the telephone with Zoe of the Milan team. The organizers
and partners do some amazing work, and, among other things, have developed
an open-source product for generating customized physical aid devices for
disabled people. There's a big community around Valentina (the garment
design software) in particular and fashion in general (it being Milan and
all) that would help, we hope, with the gender imbalance endemic to
software events. The space is great (not just an auditorium), and we all
know what the town has to offer.

As I discussed previously, the Saarbrucken offer is also an all-around
winner, from physical venue to open source community, with lots of exciting
local work and demos of digital media, visual computing, and interactive
experiences.

So it would normally be difficult to choose which one is in 2018 and which
is in 2019. But the Saarbrucken team have done some footwork and believe
that they can raise significant money, as much as 15,000 Euros, beyond the
venue and support service expenses, from grants and local sponsors, and
more likely in 2018 than 2019. And, even if they could raise as much in
2019, 2018 is when we need it most, as we are still in the early stages of
rebuilding our global fundraising operation.

So I would like to propose here that we propose on the general list holding
the meeting in 2018 in Saarbrucken and 2019 in Milan.
