it has always been that way. but at least, we should indeed provide on
each site a link to the previous site(s), so that one can browse back
and see the all history.

all in all, i think that being redirected to the current lgm site is
what most people wants.

if you (plural) think that this is not the case, we can change it. i
generally don't like splash screens, but in this case it may be a
better option

currently, the root is not meant to be seen... but if somebody wants to
create some artwork to show there, why not? (as long it's not too heavy
to download...)

but i would not put there more content then we already have.

we already have http://libregraphicsmeeting.org/lgm ... as a "permanent"
subsite that:

a/ should indeed become more attractive (but, for now, it's at least
already useful as an internal reference)

b/ should be linked from the current lgm site.

at the end, if we have a splash screen as a welcome page, we could
consider to move the lgm/ site to the root. but i'm not 100% sure that
it is a good idea.

voilà, if somebody comes up with a concrete idea, and it's generally
accepted, we can certainly put it on the lgm site!

p.s.: the fact that each site is in its own directory, is necessary to
ensure that url don't change. if we put the current site at the root
and move it afterwards to a subfolder, all external links get burked.
