i would suggest to create the new "holding page" as the content of the
current main page, before the feed...

as long as the lgm 2016 is not approaching and there is no "relevant"
content on the 2016/ site, i'd prefer to keep 2015/ as the default (for
the ones who want to have a peek at what happened) and switch to 2016/
when it is "ready".
