[LGM] finances

i'd like to stress a point that has been discussed on irc and seems to 
me more important for the europeans who will get most of the (small) 
payments than the americans who are currently discussing the finances:

 > Please note that paying expenses usually means mailing checks, so 
payment generally takes two weeks or more.

please check if the organization managing the money can also send money 
through bank transaction identified by an IBAN number (or at least have 
a cheap way to process bank transactions to/from europe).

in many european countries, it's hard (and often also expensive) to cash 
a check.
(personally, i have not seen a check in 20 years...)

as a reference: inside of the IBAN system international payments have 
the same costs as local payments (which in most countries means that 
they are free).

thanks for the effort that you're putting in setting up a way to get the 
money! (and redistribute it... :-)
