[LGM] fortnightly IRC meet

Hi Tobias, all,

mainly

- a check-in to see if there are any questions not yet raised on the list
- also wanted to share the numbers (submissions / registrations) which
are pretty low as of today, so for people on the mailing list - pls
submit your proposals and/or register soon as we had set a deadline of
Jan 15 (which is next week)
- Also - sponsoring, it would be good if people can volunteer to
contact potential supporters

So probably quite short.
