I think he is asking for a way to edit cell content when the cell hight exceeds
the height of the visible area.

As a comparison, Excel allows you to expand the formula edit box at the top
when the formula becomes too long.  I don't know if there is anything we can do
for in-place editing, but at least supporting expandable formula edit box can
solve this.
