I can't see the problem to find out what my needs are. 
I do not want to remove the auto filter, I do want to see all data without
filter, for that menu 'Data -> Filter -> Remove Filter' is required.
I can't see any checkbox at Data->Filter->Auto Filter, can you please provide a
screenshot?

Funny thing, today every thing works as expected, I will try to find out what
circumstances cause the problem I saw.
